Innocence Denied recognizes that there are numerous people wrongly incarcerated across this country. ID believes that when an incarcerated individual is asserting a claim of actual innocence, or innocence of the crime charged, that assertion should be addressed by the judicial system at some level.
The Innocence Project
is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. To date, 248 people in the United States have been exonerated by DNA testing, including 17 who served time on death row.
